Classes
San Francisco
Tuesdays 12-2pm, starting 1/13/2026
Study and practice of acting technique, taught from a director’s point of view.
This ongoing class introduces students to Stanislavsky techniques and other practices for authentic performance.
For students with more experience, this class deepens your understanding and experience of technique and its application.
Weekly sessions consist of warm-ups, exercises for physical life, objectives/obstacles/tactics, and subtext, as well as table work and “rehearsal” of scenes as assigned.
Students are paired up to work on a scene from a contemporary play. You will first focus on script analysis and breaking down the scene into its beats, or units of action. From there, you begin to explore the characters and their objectives, using sensory and emotional exercises to deepen your understanding of the character's inner life and motivations.

Classes are Tuesdays 10am-noon starting on 1/13/2026.
